Pihl builds Havneholmen Tower for Skanska Øresund
Pihl has signed a 300 MDKK contract with Skanska Øresund for the construction of “Havneholmen Tower”, a new eleven-storey office building with a three-storey underground car park situated in a unique area close to the shopping centre “Fisketorvet” on Havneholmen in Copenhagen

Havneholmen Tower is designed by architects Wingårdh Arkitektkontor AB and built by Pihl for building owner Skanska Øresund A/S. The eleven-storey office building is the tallest building situated on the island of Havneholmen in the new town district close to the city of capital Copenhagen.
The contract comprises the construction of two closed carcasses with underground parking facilities and a total floor area of 23,700 square metres. Furthermore, the contract comprises contractor works such as sheet piling, lowering of the water level, concrete works, facades and roof covering together with masonry, carpentry and painting.
Pihl signed the contract for “Havneholmen Tower” with Skanska Øresund A/S in November 2007. The first sod was turned on 7 January 2008 and the carcasses will be finished by March 2010. The office building will be ready for occupation by the spring of 2010.
The office building “Havneholmen Tower” will offer attractive leaseholds with a floor area between 600 and 18,000 square metres, all with a view of the harbour or the city.
“Pihl appreciates this new job for Skanska Øresund A/S on Havneholmen. In the same area we are also building another large office building for Aller Press,” says Hans Anker Nielsen, project director in Pihl.
